Hope Venture Planned Programs

Hope Ventures has plans to expand its portfolio of projects to Kajiado County, in the Ewuaso Kedong area. The projects are under development and include the following;

Home for the Elderly

The Home for the Elderly will address the problem of inadequate home care services for the elderly in Kenya, especially in marginalized Arid and Semi-Arid-areas like Kajiado County.

The elderly will have access to medical care, social support, and a place to call home. Additionally, the dignity and quality of life for the elderly will be restored and maintained while lifting off the burden of social and economic costs of caring for the elderly people among them and their households.

Education Programmes

The education program will increase academic and technical literacy and access to technology among marginalized communities. ICT skills unlock other employment opportunities for women and girls from marginalized communities. The program will support the Gender mainstreaming, and women and girls empowerment agenda through access to education and training for both pre-primary, primary, and secondary education. A Technical and Vocation Education and Training (TVET) will also be implemented to increase technical skills and qualifications for the youth and women. This will result in the employability of the youth and women’s increased income from enterprises that are Established post-training. To this end Primary, Secondary and Technical schools will be constructed.

Health Care Services

Access to Healthcare services is critical for a healthy and productive society. Hope ventures plan to establish a health center in Ewuaso Kedong that will help address the problem of inadequate access to affordable healthcare services in Kajiado County. This will reduce the disease burden and the cost of medical at the community level, ease access to primary health care and affordable medical services for marginalized communities; Reduce infant and child mortality; reduce mortality of the elderly due to COVID-19 and other communicable diseases as a result of easily available and affordable Medicare.

Technical Education and Training (TVET)

Access to food is a basic human need, food insecurity and low food production is a challenge in most marginalized and Arid and Semi-Arid Regions. Hope Ventures will establish an agricultural and food production support program in Ewuaso Kedong to help address the problem of food insecurity and malnutrition due to inadequate food production in Kajiado County. This program will increase access to affordable food and improved nutrition among the community; increased crop and livestock productivity; increase employment and income opportunities for both women and youth among pastoralists communities.
